It was the best of times...
I found out yesterday that the IT department in France hasn't paid my contract for 8 months...and I'm being let go in 2 weeks.

At least they gave me notice.

I'm really sorry. It might give you some cold comfort to reflect that you're far from alone (especially in central Virginia!).
